You need to update the driver. Uninstall the Canon, by opening Control Panel -> Devices and Printer, right click it and selecting “Uninstall”. Then Google the driver for the Canon C5250 (or use this link). Download the driver, then open it up (it may go to your Downloads folder) and run it. It will prompt you to extract the file. Click on the extracted folder
click “Setup”
. Select the “Standard” Printer Setup option. It will search for printers and then find this one.
Select it and click “Next”. Click “Start” and wait for the printer to install. The default name of it will be “FA3040”, which you can always change from the Devices and Printer menu.
