How do I make a Table of Contents in Word?

Any text that you want included as a heading the table, you’ll need to have in the “Heading” format.

So Heading One will be the main topic, and text with Heading 2 will be displayed as a sub-topic under that, etc..  To make the actual table, you can go under the “References” tab and click on “Table of Contents”, then select “Automatic Table 1”
